East Anglian Team Challenge Raises Funds for Julian Support

The East Anglian Team Challenge is an event organised by the Barclays East Anglia corporate banking team. The aim of the challenge is to bring the business community together and to raise funds for and promote Norfolk-based charities.

On Saturday 14th June, 43 participants from Barclays, Price Bailey, Mills & Reeve, Larking Gowen, Stephenson Smart, Brown & Co, Hayes & Storr, BDO, Arnolds Keys and Ashton KCJ took on the 10 Peaks Challenge; visiting the summit of 10 of the Lake Districts’ mountains in one day!

Danielle Carvell, Relationship Support Manager from Barclays said: ‘We are delighted with the amount raised for Big C, EACH, F.A.I.T.H., Julian Support and Nelson’s Journey and would like to thank everyone who supported us to make this happen.  Barclays has a fantastic community investment programme that encourages employees to get involved in the causes they care about.  It’s about giving back our skills, time and energy to support our local communities – so we’re thrilled to have raised £30,000.

Pip Coker, Chief Executive of Julian Support said: “We are very grateful to all the participants for their considerable time and effort in raising £6,612 for Julian Support. Mental Health Services are under considerable pressure at the moment and it’s fantastic to see the business community helping to support vulnerable, local people in this way.”
