The people we support know what is important to them and we help them to achieve the things that they want from life. We use their expertise to shape the services that we provide so that we are able to respond to their changing needs. We call this ‘Nothing About Us Without Us’.

Innovation is encouraged throughout the organisation – we want the people that we support and our staff to be creative and to come up with ways of improving what we can offer. We make sure that there are processes for getting ideas heard and developed.

Our staff are fully trained and their practice is guided by the values that we share. We need to be able to respond quickly to changes that affect the lives of the people we support and ensure that we regularly update our training and staff development programmes so we can meet these demands.

We involve the people who use our services in our recruitment of new staff. This is really important because we want to ensure that the people we support feel that we have employed the best people to work with them.
