I cannot express what the service has done in making me feel I have a life
to live again."
Julian Support is a specialist service which accepts referrals for people with mental health problems. We are clear about what the criteria is for each of our services and we aim to give a consistent response to all clients and referrers. We carry out an initial assessment looking at mental health and support needs, and we are usually able to let the client know the outcome at the end of the assessment. Where our criteria is not met we do not abandon the client but actively signpost or refer to the most appropriate agency or service.
All our managers meet regularly to ensure that our clients can expect the same standards of support wherever they live and that all workers are competent in their job. Our business plan aims to ensure that all our services are accessible and are available in all the geographical locations we cover.
In order to deliver a fair service we recognise that people need to be treated as individuals. We aim to deliver a service in a way that accommodates the diverse needs of our client group. We respond to people fairly and respect their culture, values and beliefs. We support staff to develop working relationships that value people from all sections of the community.
