I am in control and this is made possible with her support and genuine effort to help make this difficult change."
The people who live in our 24 hour supported accommodation benefit from the extra security of knowing that there is somebody on-site who knows them well and can respond to their needs quickly.
As in all our other services, staff and individual clients work
in a positive strengths-focused way. This means recognising the talents, skills and interests of the individual, and encouraging them to take control of their lives, and develop and practice those skills which maximise their independence.
We acknowledge that many people who live in our supported accommodation may experience good and bad times in their mental health, and we are able to tailor our support to meet these fluctuations. The emphasis is on flexibility and responsiveness.
We ensure that the focus is on what is available in the wider community, and staff support individual clients to access and engage in activities until they are ready to continue without support.
