WHAT IS THE CLIENT ADVISORY TEAM?
The CAT is a collaborative, safe space where people can share their lived experience and expertise for the benefit of the people we support. The activities of the group will be across a range of areas including recruitment of Julian Support staff; how services are designed and delivered; how we work with people and the way we work with people.
WHY SHOULD I BECOME A CLIENT ADVISORY TEAM MEMBER?
Being a CAT member is a great way to share your lived experience to influence how services are designed and developed. It is a powerful way to tell your story in a way that may help others. It is also a good opportunity to develop skills to support personal development and entry into work.
WHO CAN BE A CLIENT ADVISORY TEAM MEMBER?
Anyone who has been supported by Julian Support and shares our organisational values (see below).
DO I NEED PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR ROLE?
You do not need any previous experience. We will ensure you have the induction and training you need to ensure a smooth introduction to the organisation and the work of the team.
WHAT ARE THE MEETINGS LIKE?
The meetings take place every 3 months with a dedicated staff member to ensure that the team are well supported.
Meetings are held in person at our Norwich office, and online.
Support is available for people who have accessibility needs, whether that be in person or online.
